What is IDE?
The Institute of Democracy and Education (IDE) is founded in Washington DC, United States in 2014 by Indonesian scholars. IDE is a non-profit organization that provides a forum of innovative ideas for the younger generation of Indonesian leaders. It would connect youth with one another to “connect the dots” and allow them to engage in programs to seek solutions for the nation’s well-being. IDE invites young leaders studying abroad or within the country to actively participate and collaborate in a variety of activities according to their ideas, potentials, skills, professionalism, and idealism.
IDE exists as a forum to unite voices and actions using the spirit of democracy and education towards the development of Indonesian young leaders in their own country. IDE facilitates a forum to develop original and alternative perspectives on vital issues that our society is facing, generates solutions to these issues, and supports successful practices. In this way IDE promotes democracy, education and friendship.
The Institute of Democracy and Education (IDE) with a wide range of activities shares experiences in the fields of democracy, economics, public policy, culture, social, interfaith dialogue, and education. All activities are planned to create a better environment among Indonesian young leaders. The institute aims to foster the growth and quality of human resources, especially for the young generation who will have professional knowledge and depth of skills. In the end, they will be able to participate at national and global levels.
